About 6 months ago a shop about 10 minutes from me opened up, specificaly called the 'sugar glider shop.' I went there about three times, but it was always closed.
about a month after its opening the store was put up for auction on ebay -sugar gliders and all- and was sold.
After its reopening I returned today, and was impressed.
they had a total of 23 gliders in the store, but they were kept in a backroom and unless you were a serious buyer werent allowed access.
luckily, they permitted me back there. I was glad to see that it was quit clean, and the sugars happy. Each cage held two gliders -not all were breeding pairs- and the smallest cage they had was 4 feet tall. each had numerous pouches, toys, ect. They were clean, and the room smelled decent.
the woman who owned the store had about 7 breeding pairs that were her own pets at home, and when the babies were 10 weeks she brought them into the store for purchase.
Standard greys were $250.00 a baby, and she deducted close to $100.00 if you purchased two, and highly encouraged it.
She gave me a brief summary on genes and linage, but I dont have much knowlodge in that department.
All gliders were fed fresh fruit, and BML. They sold doubled lined fleece pouches for $5.00 a piecce and bonding pouched for $20.00, so I bought just a simple pouch.
Overall, I WAS impressed, and glad to see these arent over bred, pellet fed, unhealthy gliders.

Sugar gliders go nuts for apples, and these dehydrated slices are no different. They’re all-natural, yummy, and you get a decent number of slices per bag, so we feel it’s a good deal. 100% dehydrated apple slices. Crunchy texture promotes dental health. The HPW diet has a calcium to phosphorous ratio of 1.29:1. Sugar glider diets should always maintain a calcium:phosphorous ratio of 1.5-2 calcium:1 phosphorous. This is not to say you cannot feed anything that doesn't have this ratio but maintain the proper overall ratio with all the combined foods you feed.
